Just a little information on our school, we are a private catholic college located in Louisville, KY. As far as academics are concerned we have an outstanding Exercise Science program and house one of the few Doctoral Physical Therapy programs in the country. We also are known for our Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Education, and school of Communication programs. We are a relatively small University with less than 3,500 students, with 2,457 of those being undergraduate students; our student to faculty ratio is 13:1. Personally I love having small classes, to date the largest class I have ever had at BU only had 65 students in it. The small class sizes allow for all of your professors to know you individually, I have never had a professor that didn’t know my name. They all genuinely care about your education as well, if they see you are struggling with something in their class they will find ways to help you succeed.
You will probably notice that our tuition is rather expensive. Please don’t let this detour you from applying to our great university! We unfortunately do not offer scholarships specifically for bowling, but we do however offer great academic scholarships to every single person who applies! Our average applicant receives nearly $19,000 just for applying! On top of that you can use any scholarship you have outside of the one that Bellarmine offers you, including your SMART money from bowling. So really it is more affordable than it initially appears! As far as our bowling team goes, our women’s team is one of the best in the nation every single year, we make it to sectionals every year, and we have been to the Intercollegiate Team Championships 3 times so far, hoping to make our 4th time this spring. You can track our season by going to www.collegebowling.com there you can look at our tournament finishes for our team and our individual finishes. We are having a successful season thus far with our starting 5 finishing in the top 20-50 at every single tournament this year.
